Updated TOEFL Exemption Requirements - Effective 02/01/2017
Effective February 1, 2017, FCCPT will update its requirements for the TOEFL exemption to reflect the changes in the first professional degree in the United States, while remaining consistent with federal regulations. Read for more details.
Update to Requirements for Initial Licensure in Utah
Utah has recently updated its rules about the type of FCCPT review required for initial licensure in Utah. The new rule will require a Comprehensive Credentials Review (Type I Review) for initial licensure through Utah. Read more for details.
Information on how revised TOEFL Requirements for NPTE will Affect FCCPT Applicants
In July of 2016, the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) announced new TOEFL requirements for eligibility to take the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE), going into effect in 2018. FSBPT’s eligibility requirements for the NPTE do not change the TOEFL score requirements for Type 1 Review. FCCPT continues to be able to combine Speaking and Combined scores from separate examination dates.

Update to Included Report Policy
Applicants should apply for an Included Report before the completion of the service. If no recipient is selected at time of application (“None at this time”), applicants can notify FCCPT of a recipient for the Included Report, at no additional cost, for up to 6 months following the service completion date.
If an applicant requests an Included Report AFTER 6 months from the service completion date, the applicant will have to apply for a Duplicate Report and pay the associated fee. Read for more details.
Changes to Washington State’s CWT Requirements
The Washington Board of Physical Therapy has informed FCCPT that the Board will accept Coursework Evaluation Tool (CWT) for use for all foreign trained physical therapists seeking licensure, effective immediately. Read for more details.
Changes to CLEP Score Credits - Effective 10/01/2015
As of October 1, 2015, the American Council on Education (ACE) Credit Recommendations for College Level Examination Program® (CLEP) changed. FCCPT follows the recommendation by the ACE and therefore have updated our CLEP credit policy to follow the new recommendations. Read for more details.
