This section is designed to assist a potential applicant in understanding the basic information needed for U.S. licensure, healthcare worker certificates needed for immigration and the credentialing services provided by FCCPT.

FCCPT is an agency that authenticates, verifies and evaluates educational and regulatory documents of foreign physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

FCCPT performs a comparison of an educational curriculum to a standardized tool developed and validated by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).

FCCPT is authorized to issue the certification required by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for health care workers.

FCCPT is authorized to provide documentation for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for foreign physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

FCCPT is recognized by 50 jurisdictions to evaluate educational equivalency for licensure purposes.

FCCPT is recognized by New York State for Collection and Verification of documents for the New York State Education Department review for licensure in NY.

FCCPT is recognized by a number of US educational institutions to prepare educational equivalency reports for admissions to advanced PT degree programs.
