The Type 1 Comprehensive Credentials Review Includes:

  • Educational Credentials Review
  • Verification of Eligibility to practice in Country of Education elsewhere if applicable
  • Verification of English Proficiency
  • The Type 1 Certificate is a visa screen and results in (USCIS) Healthcare Worker Certificate

FCCPT has been authorized by USCIS to issue the Health Care Worker Certificate when an applicant meets all of the requirements specified in Section 212(a)(5)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act as specified in Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 212.15 for the profession of physical therapy.

Comprehensive Credential Evaluation Review (Type I Certificate) This service is designed for the individual who needs a Health Care Worker Certificate to obtain USCIS clearance, which will permit employment as a physical therapist in the U.S. This service includes an educational credentials review, which can be used to obtain a license to practice physical therapy in the U.S., for CMS Medicare/Medicaid Provider certification, or for academic admissions for an advanced degree.

Most jurisdictions (states) accept the Educational Credentials Review, that is a part of the Type 1 Comprehensive Credential Evaluation for licensure, but a few jurisdictions REQUIRE the Type I certificate process for licensure:

  • California
  • Louisiana
  • Massachusetts
  • New Mexico
  • North Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Washington, D.C.

Jurisdiction requirements may change, so please be sure to read the application requirements for the jurisdiction to verify the current requirements.
